This policy explains how refunds are handled for PINRICK engagements — website development, mobile apps, USSD systems, cyber security, automation, API integration, and digital marketing. It works alongside our Terms of Use.

1. General Principle

Our Services are project-based: we're paid for the work and time we put in as a project progresses, not for a finished product handed over instantly. Because of this, refunds are assessed against the stage a project has reached and the cost we've already incurred, rather than as an automatic full refund.

2. Deposits

Most Engagements begin with a deposit before work starts. If a Client cancels before any work has begun, we will refund the deposit less any cost we've already committed on the Client's behalf (for example, a domain name or hosting plan purchased for the project). Once work has begun, Section 3 applies instead.

3. Software, Website & App Development Projects

Refunds on an active development project are calculated net of work already completed. This includes development time already spent, any third-party licences or services already purchased for the project (domains, hosting, paid plugins, SMS/USSD gateway costs, etc.), and design work already delivered.

To request a refund on a development project:

Requests submitted after 7 days may still be reviewed at our discretion, but are not guaranteed the same consideration.

4. Digital Marketing Services

For Bulk SMS, email marketing, SEO, and ad campaigns, any portion of your budget already spent with a third-party provider (for example, SMS credits already sent, or ad spend already delivered by a platform like Meta or Google) is non-refundable, since that money has already left our hands to pay for the delivered service. Any unspent portion of a prepaid campaign budget, and our own service fee for work not yet performed, may be refunded on request.

5. Business Systems We Build for You

Where we build a system for your own use — such as a POS system, an eVoting platform, an ePayment integration, or an eTicketing system — that system belongs to you as the Client once built, and how you operate it (including any refund policy you choose to offer your own customers or voters) is entirely your responsibility, separate from this policy. This policy only covers refunds you're owed by PINRICK for the development work itself.

6. Non-Refundable Items

7. How to Request a Refund

Step 1 — Contact us with your project reference and a clear description of the issue.

Step 2 — We review your request against the agreed scope, timeline, and costs already incurred.

Step 3 — We communicate our decision and, if approved, the refund amount and timeframe.

8. Processing Timeframes

Approved refunds are typically processed within 7–14 business days from approval. Timing can occasionally be affected by delays with mobile money providers or banks, which are outside our control — we'll keep you updated if that happens.
